Lonny Bereal

Lonny Bereal

Where are you from originally and where do you live now?
I was originally born, in Fresno, Ca. However, my family returned to the L.A. area when I was a year old. I was raised in Carson, Ca. (a suburb of L.A.). I currently reside, in Los Angeles.

What was your first project as a musician, and how important was it for you?
My first project, as a musician, that I really felt, was important? That would be the Jamie Foxx Unpredictable album. Sold 2 million. Kelly Rowland’s Ms. Kelly album was one very important for me, as well. I spent so much time, and dedication, on that project.

Who do you look to as a mentor in your career, and what have they helped you to learn?
I look to Tank, as a mentor. He actually got me my first placements, on the Dave Hollister Real Talk album. He’s helped me to learn concepts, melodies, clever ways to say new things and how to play on words. We come from the same world of singers so we often take from each other vocally. He’s given me so much info.
